Tuesday FitTip

When I talk about lifting, there is a general form that goes with each movement, but it doesn’t always look the same on every body because we’re all unique.

Same goes for running form. There is a general movement pattern, where your foot strikes, alignment, breathing, but just like lifting, this may not look/feel the same for everyone.

The biggest part in each of these cases is that you don’t want an injury. Think about running a mile. And all those repetitive steps, if you’re finding pain while running or afterwards, you may want to look at your form.

So if you’re running and have no pain, are having fun and reaching your goals, there’s no reason to change your stride or where your foot strikes. 

But if you do have pain, or you can’t seem to get over a certain distance, or reach that certain pace, then it might be time to take a look.

Because running should be fun. Not a chore. And definitely not painful.

Ok, maybe, like, a little obsessed. (Yes, I have “like” in there with my side part 😂 🤣)

I actually LOVE lists. And planners, calendars & post-it’s. Paper is my favorite, but I have digital list apps too. 

Please tell me I'm not alone here!!!

Well, not using rebate apps is like “leaving money on the table” according to Alison. In episode 9 of The Unstressed Mama podcast, she will talk about how you can literally keep money from flying out of your account 💸 on the purchases you are already making with just a few extra steps, some that literally take less than 5 seconds! 

This $47.07 probably took less than 30 seconds total for all of the online purchases I was already making over the holiday season. 

The best part: this is one app!!! Alison will talk about several others, the time they take to set up, to use and when its NOT always the best decision to use one of these apps! 

Since working with Alison on the Unstressed Mama events, I have added Gas Buddy and Ibotta apps to my rebate app repertoire. 

Because like all other things, adding all in at once is overwhelming, so I’m slowly getting into the new habits to maximize my savings!
